Though the rains fell and the sky was grey, the 2nd Jeremiah Ingalls Singing in Newbury Vermont set the air ringing with the sound of 'fasola' singing. Lovers of American folk-hymnody gathered to sing the music of Jeremiah Ingalls, a Vermont composer who mixed the sounds of ballads, drinking songs, & fiddle tunes with the sacred poetry of hymns and spirituals in his 1805 collection, The Christian Harmony.
